Styles are defined for APA-style body text, headings for levels 1-3, block quotations, references, titles for tables and figures, and so on. But you can easily save this document as a template from the menu of your word processor (File|Save As…) to achieve the same result. Unfortunately, technical constraints prevent me from offering a download of an OpenDocument template (*.ott). This is an OpenDocument text file, to be used with LibreOffice, or other word processing packages using this format. The “Download” button below will download a file called APA_V7_210205.odt. Please download and share freely, and let me know if you spot any errors. This latest version is updated to version 7, published in 2020. I created the first version for my students just after the publication of version 6 of the APA publication manual in 2010. If you are a student or researcher who writes reports in APA style, you may find this format template useful.
